Kud-Sverchkov said: “It is planned that I and my colleagues will carry out more than 40 scientific experiments in space. We are also scheduled to carry out two exit operations into open space, and during one of the two operations we will install equipment to study the sun and its radiation on the outer surface of the station.”
The Soyuz MS-28 spacecraft is scheduled to launch from the Baikonur cosmodrome towards the International Space Station on November 27, carrying Russian astronauts Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev, in addition to American astronaut Christopher Williams, who will travel within the joint space flight program between NASA and Roscosmos.
It is noteworthy that on July 15, 2022, the Roscosmos Foundation announced the signing of an agreement with NASA regarding joint space flights, which included the travel of American astronauts on board the Russian “Soyuz” vehicles and Russian astronauts on board the American Crew Dragon vehicles, and the joint flight program was extended until the years 2025-2026.
