uaetodaynews.com — ‘Okay Baby’ mom shares heartbreaking video of what her son left behind following his tragic death

The mother of the late famous TikTok toddler known to millions as the ‘Okay Baby’ has shared her devastating grief six months after his tragic death.

Two-year-old Preston Ordone died in April after he suffered fatal injuries when his family’s Ford F-150 truck veered off the road and smashed into a tree in rural Louisiana.

Mom Katelynn Ordone expressed her pain in a video posted on social media this week in which she shared reminders of her late son around her home.

In the clip, she showed the toys her tot never got to open, the snacks he never got to finish eating and the diapers he never wore.

She also showed footage of the toys he had snuck inside the fireplace, his clothes that she never finished putting away, the curtains he used to play hide and seek behind and the cup she used to rinse his hair.

Captioning the upload, Katelynn wrote: ‘This month has been especially hard for me because this month it will make six months that Preston has been gone.

‘Half of a year that my baby has been in heaven. As time goes by it feels like you keep getting further and further away from me.’

Social media users shared their sympathy after watching Katelynn’s video.

‘I can’t imagine the pain you carry, but I want you to know he’ll never be forgotten,’ one said.

‘Time doesn’t take him further from you it just changes the way he’s held in your heart.

‘He’ll always be a part of you, and the love you have for him is something time can’t touch.’

Another penned: ‘I really was thinking of his little face and all that joy he had in those overalls…. I pray everyday God continues to carry you mentally and emotionally…’

‘Preston comes to my mind often,’ added a third. ‘Makes me hug my son a little longer and a little tighter. I pray for this family to continue to heal and find their way back to each other.’

In April, Louisiana State Police confirmed news of Preston’s death on social media.

They revealed the car crash happened shortly before 11.50am in St. Tammany Parish, approximately 50 miles north of New Orleans.

The toddler’s parents, Katelynn and Jaelan Ordone, survived the horrific crash but were rushed to different hospitals with serious injuries.

Little Preston was ‘improperly restrained in a child safety seat in the back of the car,’ according to the police report.

‘The driver and front passenger, who were both properly restrained, sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital,’ the Louisiana State Police report stated.

‘Preston, who was seated in the rear, but improperly restrained in a child safety seat, also sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.’

As part of the ongoing investigation, a routine toxicology sample was collected from the driver for analysis.

Family friend Melanie Matranga first confirmed the news in a video shared to Katelynn’s account.

‘We don’t know all the details yet, but their truck veered to the right off the interstate and struck a tree, and unfortunately, Preston didn’t make it,’ she said.

She also revealed that Preston’s seven-year-old sister Paisley was fortunately not involved in the accident.

‘She was at school at the time. She was not in the vehicle,’ she added

‘This is the hardest post we could possibly make, finding words is still so hard… We hope that you can help our family in any way possible in this hard time,’ she captioned the video.

‘It still feels so unreal… All your prayers, love and support is needed and appreciated. Thank you. #OkayBabyForever.’
