Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are totally in sync!

On Monday, Nov. 3, the famous twins, 39, made an ultra-rare appearance even memorable when they nodded to their history of matching looks while wearing black suits at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards.

For the event, theIt Takes Twoalums — who own the luxury fashion brand The Row — stepped out in black oversized blazers and also styled their hair in similar ways with a sleek, middle part.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen wore the matching looks to accept the award for American Accessory Designer of the Year, which saw Ana Khouri, Catherine Holstein for Khaite, Raul Lopez for Luar, and Tory Burch also nominated in their category.

In their acceptance speech at the event held at The American Museum of Natural History in New York City, the sisters expressed their gratitude for their fan base and supporters.

“To our amazing customers who truly give us the opportunity to do what we love, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you,” Mary-Kate said at the podium while standing alongside her sibling, as shown in a video of the ceremony posted to Instagram byThe Cut.

Mary-Kate also thanked their family for giving them “the love and kindness” that allows them “to show up to work each day.”

As the crowd cheered them on, Ashley grabbed the award and Mary-Kate gently placed her hand on her sister’s back as they exited the stage.

“This is equivalent to witnessing a shooting star,” one person commented on the post as others chimed in, expressing their surprise at hearing Mary-Kate speak publicly since the pair have taken a noticeable step back from the spotlight.

Another person said, “We are not worthy!”

Mary-Kate and Ashley, who were photographed wearing coordinating oversized scarves during New York Fashion Week in September, have a longstanding history with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).

They also wore matching black looks during an on-stage appearance with the organization in June 2019.

In 2009, theFull Houseactresses were asked to join CFDA, making them two of the youngest members ever inducted.

Before winning the award for American Accessory Designer of the Year on Monday, Nov. 3, the Olsens received a CFDA Award nomination for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear on behalf of The Row in 2011.

Their designs have been sold at Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman and Maxfield, as well as international retailers such as Lane Crawford in China, Maria Luisa in France, and The Wall in Japan.

Mary-Kate and Ashley were also nominated for the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year award for The Row in 2018, and took home awards for The Row in 2012 and 2015.
