Russia Leads The Grand Slam Judo Championship In Abu Dhabi

The Russians were able to win two gold medals through Eyweb Believ in the under 60 kg weight and Arman Adamyan in the under 100 kg weight.

The team also added four silver medals, which were won by Murat Chubanov (under 66 kg), Abdulkarim Tasoyev (under 81 kg), Idar Pivov (under 100 kg), and Tamerlan Pashayev (over 100 kg).

Japan came in second place after winning two gold and two bronze medals, followed by Germany in third place with two gold medals.

This Russian superiority comes after the International Judo Federation decided to allow Russian athletes to participate in its tournaments under the Russian flag, which allowed them to officially appear in the Abu Dhabi competitions, raise the flag, and play the national anthem during the coronation ceremonies.
