Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 15C 5G in India, expanding its lineup of affordable 5G smartphones. The device was first introduced in select European markets and is now making its way to Indian consumers.

Redmi 15C 5G Specifications

Redmi 15C 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ Dot Drop display with 1600 x 720 resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. The screen reaches 660 nits typical brightness and 810 nits in HBM, staying readable outdoors. It also includes TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly certifications, supported by DC dimming for better eye comfort.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset and a Mali G57 MC2 GPU. It comes in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM options, each paired with 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Memory can be expanded up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot, and RAM can be virtually extended up to 16GB using memory extension.

The device runs Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. Xiaomi has committed to providing 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches, promising a reliable long-term software experience.

The 15C comes with a dual-camera setup on the back, led by a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It supports Ultra HD mode, night mode, portrait mode, and time-lapse photography.

On the front, there’s an 8MP camera housed within the notch for selfies and video calls. Both cameras support up to 1080p video recording at 30fps.

Coming to the battery life, the phone features a large 6000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can deliver up to 107 hours of music playback and than 28 hours of social media browsing. The phone supports 33W fast charging, and a 33W charger is included in the box. It also features 10W wired reverse charging, allowing the device to power other gadgets on the go.

The 15C also includes IP64-rated dust and water resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It supports dual SIM cards and a microSD card simultaneously, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port.

Pricing and Availability

Pricing for the Redmi 15C 5G starts at Rs. 12,499 (~$137) for the 4GB + 128GB variant. The 6GB + 128GB model is listed at Rs. 13,999 (~$154), and the 8GB + 128GB version costs Rs. 15,499 (~$170).

The phone comes in Dusk Purple, Moonlight Blue, and Midnight Black, with sales beginning on December 11 through Amazon.in, mi.com, and Xiaomi’s offline stores.
