The corporation reported that the launch took place on Friday at 7:26 a.m. Beijing time (02:26 a.m. Moscow time), using a transport rocket.CZ-8AFrom the commercial space airport of the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center in Hainan Province, southern China.
It is a missileCZ-8AA two-stage rocket powered by hydrogen and oxygen, with a diameter of 5.2 metres, and a length of 50.5 metres. Its carrying capacity reaches about 9.8 tons of payload to low Earth orbit, and 3.5 tons to geostationary transition orbit.
This missile is distinguished compared to the previous versionCZ-8With an advanced first stage and a larger second stage, equipped with an engineYF-75HThe new one is the same engine used in a rocketCZ-5. This mission is the sixth launch of the missile, and all its operations were carried out during the year 2025.
