uaetodaynews.com — New scientific progress in electrical engineering at the University of Tehran

A faculty member at the college explained Electrical engineering And Computer Science, Dr. Muhammad Hamid Samimi, said that the new model is based on the theory of multi-inductive transmission line, and allows the estimation of complex electromagnetic interactions inside transformers during emergency conditions.

Samimi explained that the secret of the model’s success lies in the intelligent combination of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm to extract the most accurate parameters possible, and the calculation of the loss elements that change with frequency inside the transformer, which allowed for a more accurate, realistic representation of the device’s performance.

The researcher added that this achievement relied on the integration of the specialized simulation program PSCAD with the Python programming language, which enabled the team to conduct detailed, high-accuracy simulations with the least possible computational effort.

One of the striking advantages of the model, according to Sammi, is that it does not need to know the internal dimensions of the transformer, as it works in a “black box” manner, and is based only on one measurement of the transformer’s transfer function.

The researcher confirmed that the results Practical experiments Which was conducted on real transformers, proving the reliability and accuracy of the new model, indicating that this innovation represents not just a theoretical advance, but rather a powerful practical tool for predicting the electrical stresses that transformers may be exposed to in harsh operating conditions.
