After the Brighton match, Salah posted a video clip on his account on the “X” platform documenting the moments of greetings and crowd chants for him at Anfield, in a move that many interpreted as a “symbolic farewell,” even if he did not explicitly state his departure.

The clip shows Liverpool fans chanting Salah’s name and chanting the famous song dedicated to him, “Mo Salah… Mo Salah… the Egyptian King,” while the Egyptian star appeared fighting back tears and giving a long salute to the stands.
